3 Ply Masks Made by Ek Tara Distributed in the Community
These are testing times for all of us. Our country is now headed for a complete lockdown. Those who can afford have already stocked up on essential supplies. But what happens to those who cannot afford to stock up??
A lot of our families have been out of work for days.
Buying masks is not on their priority list. While many of us take things for granted and are enjoying “me time” at home, there are families who are in dire need of our help.
We have reached out to the women in the community, who are now in the process of making masks, in their own space.
These masks are standard 3 ply face masks which will be gradually distributed in the community.
These women earn ₹20 (0.26 USD) per mask, with which they can continue to support their families, in a small way.
