Learning Time Zones Through Teamwork

During Ek Tara’s latest summer camp, students delved into the concepts of Earth’s rotation, meridians, and global time zones via interactive, hands-on activities.
They discovered that 360 degrees corresponds to 24 hours, and how the 15-degree divisions of longitude define the world’s time zones.
Collaborating in small groups, students constructed models and examined real-world scenarios—enhancing both their geography knowledge and teamwork skills.
By the conclusion, they left with a solid grasp of how our planet measures time—together!
