A Day of Stories & Discovery: International Book Fair, Kolkata

The Kolkata International Book Fair was so much more than just rows of books—it was a reminder of why educators fall in love with reading in the first place.

The day was spent wandering through the stalls, hunting for those special stories that do more than just sit on a shelf. Every book was chosen with a specific child in mind—stories that will hopefully spark curiosity, build empathy, and show students just how big the world really is.

There were moments where everyone stopped right in the middle of the crowd to read a page out loud or talk about how a certain character might inspire a child in the classroom. It didn’t feel like “curating a collection”; it felt like gathering up dreams to bring back home.

After all, when educators keep exploring and reading, they are showing their students that there is no limit to how far they can dream.
