Mera Haq Meri Jimmedari

“Mera Haq Meri Jimmedari” was an awareness building session on our fundamental rights for the staff and community mothers of Ek Tara.

Violence against women and girls is a human rights violation. Unfair treatment or discrimination on grounds of race, religion, gender, and caste or birth place are also human rights violation.

With a sponsorship from Barefoot College we were able to conduct these sessions using story-based comic book-like videos created for a universal audience- children, youth and adults. This session was conducted in order to increase the ability of communities to recognize inequitable situations and realize the importance of addressing unjust situations.
