The goal of Chakke Pe Kaksha is to ensure that education reaches children in slums, streets, and other marginalized areas of the community. Alongside literacy and numeracy, they often incorporate creative activities, life skills, and awareness sessions on health, hygiene, and social issues.
Chakke Pe Kaksha currently reaches 73,449 students.

Strengthening of Early Learning Initiative
The SELI project comprises four major components designed to address the multifaceted needs of these schools and their students—the establishment or strengthening of child-friendly library spaces and introducing library practices, Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN) initiatives, Science, Technology, Arts and Maths (STEAM) education, Social Emotional Learning (SEL) and co-curricular activities are strategically integrated to enhance educational opportunities for underprivileged children in Kolkata’s low-income communities.
