Kelloggs Breakfast Campaign
The concept of healthy breakfast is non-existent in the slum dwelling community.
Most mothers in the community, cooks twice a day (lunch and dinner) for their families and skips breakfast.
Parents are now increasingly turning to junk food as an alternative to breakfast, not only because their children like the taste but also because it is less expensive than a full meal.
A packet of chips costs Rs 10 while a meal of rice, pulses and vegetables would cost approximately three times that amount.
We organized a healthy breakfast campaign for the children with Kelloggs India so that we can explain to the children, that a healthy breakfast is a must.
