MILLIPEDE Workshop
National Theatre of Scotland and ThinkArts (based in Kolkata) presented MILLIPEDE in partnership with Indian artists, scientists and climate change organizations.
The aim was to generate ideas and shape artistic responses to carbon footpints in the face of Climate Change by bringing together participants from all walks of life; primary school children, media students, knitting or book groups, choirs, climbers, dancers, isolated elders etc. to make exhibits for an online interactive website/art installation (disguised as a shoe shop).
7 students from Grade VII participated in creating Fantasy Footwear and an opportunity to tell their own story by showcasing their finished pieces within the website in the hope of engaging and inspiring others.
