Parent’s Workshop on Menstruation Hygiene

Kala Thapa, a volunteer from Davidson College, took the initiative to host a menstruation workshop for mothers of children in Ek Tara. The workshop aimed to provide valuable information about menstrual cycles, hygiene practices, and to address the societal stigma often associated with these topics. The event included a lecture, interactive discussions, and a chance for attendees to share their personal experiences, creating a welcoming and supportive environment. Participants gained practical insights on managing menstruation, such as hygiene tips and proper disposal methods. The discussions emphasized the importance of breaking taboos and educating the younger generation. The workshop concluded with a lively Q&A session that fostered openness and connection among the participants.
