Reading Mela: Where Stories Come Alive

Ek Tara hosted a joyful Reading Mela at the Golpo Ghor Libraries in Dharmadas Trust Model KMCP School and Mayor’s KMCP School. A highlight was the unique Mock Currency System, allowing children to ‘buy’ books—making learning about money fun and interactive!

With books sourced from the Kolkata International Book Fair, the event featured bookstalls, an art corner, game zone, mehendi & tattoo corner, and food stalls. It was a vibrant celebration of reading, creativity, and community—igniting young minds with a love for books and storytelling.
