Volunteer Highlights: From Doha With Love

Ek Tara welcomed two energetic young volunteers, Sashna and Pavaki, who traveled from Doha to spend time with our pre-primary students. Over 10 enriching days, they brought creativity and warmth that left a lasting mark on our classrooms. With patience and enthusiasm, they choreographed two dance performances for the students, preparing them for the Independence Day celebration. Their teaching style reflected remarkable leadership, and the final performance was beautifully executed with confidence and joy. Alongside dance, they engaged children in a sentence-framing activity, encouraging them to translate Hindi sentences into English, which boosted both vocabulary and confidence. They later returned to work with the students, leading playful art and language sessions. From making lollipops with playdough to guiding children with the Moveable Alphabet Box, sand-tray tracing, a treasure hunt, and storytelling, their sessions were full of fun and learning. We at Ek Tara sincerely thank Sashna and Pavaki for their dedication and creativity—their presence brought smiles, inspired our children, and reminded us of the joy of giving back.
